Michael Beckley is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Tufts University, a Nonresident Senior Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, and Director of the Asia Program at the Foreign Policy Research Institute. An expert in great power competition, his award-winning research has been featured in major outlets, including The Atlantic, The Economist, Foreign Affairs, and The New York Times.
Michael has held roles as an International Security Fellow at Harvard’s Kennedy School, and he has worked with the U.S. Department of Defense, the RAND Corporation, and the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. He continues to provide strategic advice to the U.S. Intelligence Community and the Department of Defense. His work bridges academic insight and practical expertise, offering critical perspectives on international security and U.S. foreign policy.
